December3,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,December 3,2008,In the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Nielsen presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson end Council Members Roberts,Hatloe,Olson,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher and Aftholter were present. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 28,2008 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed March 15,2009 as"Find a Cure for Cystic <br /> Fibrosis Day"and invited the community to attend and enjoy the Barry <br /> Manilow benefit concert.The Mayor presented the proclamation to Avery <br /> Colgan whose cousin died of cystic fibrosis in 2003. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson requested that the Budget Committee review the <br /> City's travel policy related to the reimbursement of luggage charges by the <br /> sidings. <br /> COUNCIL UPDATES <br /> Debra Bryant,Administration,responded to questions that were asked by <br /> Council Members Gipson and Olson at the November 26,2008 council <br /> meeting. She stated that Ryan Sass spoke to the County Sheriffs <br /> Department regarding their use of eight parking spots.The County has <br /> found alternative spaces for those vehicles end they will be maned as 90 <br /> minute parking for the public. She also responded regarding the <br /> budgetary cost of the Fire Union contract for 2009.The amount will be <br /> $810,000.00. <br /> a04 <br />
