January T,2009 <br /> Council Member Olson spoke of the urgency to move forward with this <br /> project. <br /> Carlton Gincon,Facilities,gave a staff report that outlined the chronology <br /> of this project. He explained the benefits of moving forward and <br /> addressed some question relating to the project. <br /> Judge Odell spoke regarding the need for the project and public safety <br /> issues involved. <br /> Council Member Nielsen brought fodh his concem that this project has <br /> many disadvantages and the need for a long range public safety plan. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher concurred with the need fore long range <br /> plan. <br /> The City Clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the <br /> ordinance. <br /> AYES: Roberts,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson.Stonecipher, <br /> Affholter <br /> NAYS: Nielsen <br /> Ordinance No.3114-09 adopted. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0812-65 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of that portion of <br /> the alley right-of-way abutting Lots 18 thro 21,Block 720,Plat <br /> of Everett Division"H",located north of Pacific Avenue <br /> between Rucker and Grand Avenues <br /> Moved by Council Member Atfhalter,seconded by Council Member <br /> Gipson that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill <br /> No.0812-65 and the City Clerk is directed to cell the role for the final <br /> disposition of the ordinance. <br /> 8 <br />
