February 4,2009 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson reported that he attended the National League of <br /> Cities Conference in Los Angeles and attended the affordable housing <br /> forum where he had an opportunity to visit some of the low income and <br /> senior citizen housing projects In the LA area. <br /> Council Member Olson stated that he also attended the National League <br /> of Cities leadership training conference in Los Angeles. He will have a <br /> complete report next week. <br /> President Halloo slated that the city has received a number of <br /> compliments from downtown business owners who really appreciate and <br /> support the bike patrol and police efforts in fighting crime In the downtown <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested anexecutive session regarding two real <br /> estate matters Involving the minim price and sale of property. The <br /> session is expected to last approximately 20 minutes with no anticipated <br /> announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Garrick Hudson Falcon,1418 Lombard Ave,introduced his summary <br /> report,Safety Managing Area Residential Traffic(SMART)pian,a <br /> neighborhood proposal to address traffic safety issues due to current <br /> expansion projects.Mr.Falcon expressed his hope that he will be able to <br /> present the full plan ata future council meeting. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Affholter to approve the following consent Items: <br /> 32 <br />
