f . <br /> June 17.2009 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who Wel excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AWARDED—INDIGENT DEFENSE <br /> $FRVICES <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to award RFP 09-028 for indigent defense services to Baker <br /> Law and authorize the Mayor to negotiate and execute a contract <br /> with Baker Law in the form substantially as provided,and to <br /> authorize the Mayor to negotiate and execute Amendment No.2 to <br /> the agreement with Assigned Attorneys for the Accused In the form <br /> substantially as provided. <br /> Council Member Gipson asked if there was a time limit as to when the <br /> new agency is required to locate an office In Everett.Clark Langsireat. <br /> Purchasing stated that Baker Law is in final negotiations in obtaining a <br /> lease for space in Everett.Tim Benedict,Legal,stated that the contract <br /> between the city and Baker Law has a provision that ties the first <br /> installment of compensation to having an executed lease. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PURCHASE—CORTE7 PREFABRICATED RESTROOM BUILDINGS <br /> This item,to authorize the purchase of two Cortez Prefabricated <br /> Restroom Buildings from Oregon State Contract No.5237PA in the <br /> amount of$76,709.78 including Washington State sales tax,was pulled <br /> from the agenda. <br /> 170 <br />
