August 26,2009 <br /> BID AWARD—WATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to award Bid No.2009-052 for an annual supply of water <br /> treatment chemicals to the lowest responsive bidders as follows: <br /> Aluminum sulfate to General Chemical Performance Products for an <br /> estimated total of$96,314.40 including state sales tax;Hydrofluosillc <br /> Acid to Cascade Columbia Distribution for an estimated total of <br /> $324,500 including state sales tax;Polyelectrolyte to Polydyne,Inc., <br /> for an estimated total of$72,072 Including state sales tax and;reject <br /> Brenntag Pacific's bid for soda ash as non-responsive;and award <br /> Soda Ash to BCI Chemical Corporation for an estimated total of <br /> $266,900;as received at the bid opening held at 2 p.m.,July 29,2009. <br /> Council Member Olson questioned why Brennteg Pacific's bid was non- <br /> responsive. <br /> Debra Bryant,CAA,explained that they could not meet the specified <br /> delivery time required. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Hallos and Gipson who were excused. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> ACRD REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS—DEBT COLLECTION <br /> SERVICES <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to award RFP No.09-036 to Evergreen Professional <br /> Recoveries,Inc.and authorize the Mayor to negotiate and execute a <br /> contract for debt collection services. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Ham and Gipson who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 242 <br />
