September 16,2009 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,September 16,2009 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall,President Notice presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson;Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatioe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher and Aflholter were present. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 9,2009 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Members Roberts and Gipson abstained <br /> from the vote. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson reported that he welcomed a circuit riding <br /> preacher into town this past weekend. His cross-country trip ended In <br /> Everett. <br /> Council Member Roberts announced that on October 10 at 7 p.m.the <br /> Everett Public Library will be celebrating its 75"year.The celebration is <br /> open to the public and all am invited to attend. <br /> • <br /> President Ha0oe announced that action item nos.8,9 and 10 relating to <br /> the Henry M.Jackson Hydroelectric Project have been pulled from the <br /> agenda. <br /> He also commented that normally citizen testimony is taken at the third <br /> and final reading of an ordinance;however,since some citizens have <br />• signed up to speak tonight regarding agenda Item no.13,they will be <br /> allowed to speak during citizen comments. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Ottomey Iles requested an executive session following the city council ' <br /> meeting to last approximately 45 minutes with no announcement for the <br /> consideration of a potential litigation matter,a litigation matter and a reel <br /> 262 <br />
