October 21,2009 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,October 2t,2009 In the City Council Chambers of On Everett City <br /> Hall,President Hatloe presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,and Stonecipher were present Council Member Affholter was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 14,2009 Everett City Council Meeting were <br /> approved as pdnted. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION—MARCHING BAND DAY <br /> Mayor Stephanson proclaimed October 24,2009 as°Marching Band ". <br /> Day°.Madeleine Gauger,Sarah Dunbar,and Austin Gillihan accepted the <br /> proclamation on behalf of Cascade High School. <br /> UPDATE—PARKS AND RECREATION STRATEGIC PLAN <br /> Paul Kaftanski, Parks Director, presented an update on the <br /> implementation of the Parks and Recreation Departments Strategic Plan <br /> which was adopted by Council on March 21,2007.He explained that the <br /> context of the strategic plan G to link the work within the department to <br /> citizen priorities. He went over the key goals within the plan,the <br /> objectives the department is moving forward with in teens of <br /> implemenla0on,discussed some of the outcomes of the goals,and <br /> discussed the financial status of the golf program. <br /> 300 <br />
