December 2,2009 <br /> Council Member Olson explained that he was unable to attend a budget <br /> committee meeting today where a presentation with respect to the <br /> proposed transfer of property,the Kimberly Clark site,from the general <br /> fund to the Utilities Department at the price specified in the proposed <br /> budget was made. He further stated that it is his understanding that a <br /> presentation will also be made next week.Some of the issues involved In <br /> the transfer relate to the purposes of the transfer,whether or not it a <br /> property that is needed,what conditions the ciry council wishes to place <br /> on the transfer,as well as calculating the price of the transfer. <br /> Debra Bryant vetoed that a presentation will be made at next week's city <br /> council meeting and asked for an opportunity to discuss this issue with <br /> Council Member Olson prior to next week's meeting. <br /> ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Jim Iles had no comment. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Bob Overstreet,Everett,complimented Emergency Management and the <br /> Office of Neighborhoods regarding anoutstanding program,Mapping <br /> Your Neighborhood,which he attende <br /> RESOLUTION—RENAMING/SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER <br /> Dave Koenig,Planning,stated that the mayor and city council requestted <br /> the Historical Commission to review and take public comment on the <br /> renaming of the Everett Senior Center to the Carl Gipson Senior Center of <br /> Everett. Research was done regarding Cad's extensive involvement in <br /> Me Everett community and the State of Washington. Information has <br /> been provided to the city council in the form of a packet.
