December 16,2009 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,December 16,2009 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hell,President yahoo presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,and Affhofter were present. Council Member Stonecipher was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Nielsen led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 9,2009 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Council Member Gipson congratulated the Boeing Company on the <br /> successful lift off of the 787. <br /> RESOLUTION—ACCEPT DONATION TO SENIOR CENTER <br /> Council Member Aftholter brought forth a resolution to accept a gift on <br /> behalf of the senior center. <br /> Moved by Council Member Affholter,seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson to adopt Resolution No.6219 declaring the City's intent to <br /> accept a gift from the Estate of Versa Lou Van Zandt in the amount of <br /> $119,132.15,bequeathed to The Carl Gipson Senior Center of <br /> Everett. <br /> Rot was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carded. <br /> Deborah Wright,Neighborhoods and Community Services,on behalf of <br /> the city and the senior center,expressed gratitude for the generous gift. <br /> 371 <br />
