January 27,2010 <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Barb Lamoureux,Everett,spoke on behalf of the group working to put an <br /> initiative on the ballot to reestablish night council meetings.She stated <br /> that If the council can establish a 12:30 p.m.start time for the one day <br /> meeting a month,the group working on the initiative will stand down. <br /> Reed Shockey,Ggi Burke,and John Williams,Everett,spoke in support <br /> of three night meetings and one day meeting. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> There were no consent items. <br /> STREET CLOSURE—ANTIQUE AND CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE SHOW <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore,seconded by Council Member <br /> Afiholter to approve the closure of Colby Avenue,Pacific to Everett <br /> Avenue;and Wall,Hewitt,and Califomia,Wetmore to Hoyt;on May <br /> 16,2010,6 a.m.to 6 p.m.,for an Antique and Clearly Motorcycle <br /> Show sponsored by ABATE of Washington with conditions. <br /> Deputy Chief Greg Lineberry,Police,stated that they have met with <br /> ABATE regarding this event a number of times and agree on all conditions <br /> for the permit to be issued with one exception which relates to reserving <br /> some of the street closure for parking. He remarked that safety is a <br /> concem if motorcycles which are ming into the show are moving <br /> through the same area where pedestrians are walking. <br /> Brad Watson,ABATE,spoke regarding the masons for having designated <br /> parking. <br /> 24 <br />
