March 10,2010 • <br /> Mayor Stephenson asked Pat McClain,Governmental Affairs,to work with • <br /> the state to find out who collects the data and what data is needed. <br /> ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> No citizens wished to speak. <br /> WORKSHOP—PROPOSED TETHYS WATER SUPPLY AGREEMENT <br /> Tethys Enterprises,Inc.desires to enter into a water supply agreement <br /> with the city.This workshop provides a staff briefing and discussion by <br /> the city council. <br /> Steve Winter, CEO of Tethys Enterprises, gave a power point <br /> presentation of Tethys'business model and the proposed project. He <br /> stated that the primary business focus would be to build a very large <br /> scale,multi-line beverage manufacturing facility in Everett to serve the <br /> entire western USA. <br /> Tim Benedict,Legal,gave an overview of the proposed contract between <br /> the city and Tethys Enterprises.He highlighted portions of the proposed <br /> draft agreement including use of transmission line No.4,location of the <br /> proposed industrial park,construction and ownership of the connecting <br /> pipeline,water use and delivery,assignment of the contract,and other <br /> City council members asked several questions and raised specific <br /> concems regarding the proposed contract.Council directed legal staff to <br /> review the concems and comments made by council this evening and to <br /> ensure they are addressed in the contract. They requested a revised <br /> contract be brought back to council for further review and approval in a <br /> timely manner. <br /> 67 <br />
