March 24,2010 <br /> AGREEMENT—MUTUAL AIDE <br /> Moved by Council Member Stonecipher,seconded by Council <br /> Member Afiholter to authorize the Mayor to sign the mutual aide <br /> egreemrnt between Commander,Navy Region Northwest,the city of <br /> Everett Fire Department,Marysville Fire District and Snohomish <br /> County Fina Protection District 21 for fire protection and emergency <br /> medical services. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Roberts and Halloe who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—EVFRFTT TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br /> Vice President Nielsen opened a public hearing regarding the Everett <br /> Transit Development Plan 2010-2015 end the 2009 Annual Report. <br /> Bob Hunter,Everett Transit Program Manager,explained that this is en <br /> annual plan that is required by the state for agencies that provide public <br /> transportation.He gave highlights for Everett Transit.In 2009 there were <br /> approximately 2.5 million riders on fend mute service end almost 109,000 <br /> riders on paratrensit service. The ORCA card was implemented end <br /> construction was completed on the SWIFT terminus end twelve stations <br /> throughout the city. For 2010 through 2015 a fiscally conservative <br /> approach is proposed to assume and provide small increases in service to <br /> citizens.No reduction is service is projected. <br /> Council Members had questions regarding the city's future commitmeni to <br /> SWIFT,the city's Commute Trip Reduction Plan and passenger boarding <br /> statistics. <br /> Vice President Nielsen asked for citizen comment.There was none. <br /> 83 <br />
