May 5,2010 <br /> stated that it will be three-fold event;to celebrate their first year at the <br /> new shelter,a cat adopt-a-thon,end free micro-chipping for cats. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Nielsen congratulated Historic Everett which received a <br /> Washington State Department of Archeology and Historic Preservation <br /> Outstanding Achievement Award related to its work en the Collins <br /> Building. <br /> Council Member Nielsen stated that he sits on the Snohomish Health <br /> District Board. He remarked that Snohomish County has lust had two <br /> people diagnosed with multiple drug-resistant tuberculosis.It will cost the <br /> Health District approximately$140,000 of their$250,000 reserve to <br /> support them during their illness. <br /> Council Member Gipson distributed a proposed resolution which the city <br /> attorney prepared per his request.It establishes a moratorium on projects <br /> with a value of$500,000.00 or more which come before council. He <br /> requested that the council members review k and give him their thoughts. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that there will be a workshop at next <br /> week's council meeting regarding capital projects and capital budget. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> David Mascarenas,Everett,questioned whether council would be taking <br /> public testimony during their workshop on the Municipal Court. Council <br /> Member Roberts stated that there will be an opportunity for public <br /> comment during the action item. <br /> 119 <br />
