May 5,2010 <br /> delay their decision long enough to understand the true costs and <br /> deliberate the full benefits of the gateway solution. <br /> Dave Remstad,Everett,expressed concern regarding the lack of public <br /> notice or debate permitted fora major decision using the tax funds of hard <br /> working citizens. <br /> Dan Jenkins,Weiss Jenkins Properties,owners of the property located at <br /> 3030 Hoyt which was evaluated fora location of the new Municipal Court, <br /> discussed how they came up with the price for the property and stated <br /> that it could be available for use in approximately eight months. <br /> David Mascarenas,Everett,spoke regarding the lack of parking at the <br /> present Municipal Court site. <br /> Greg Tisdahl,Everett,spoke regarding the lack of parking in the area of <br /> the proposed 38e Street site. <br /> Council Member Moore suggested an amendment to the ordinance to <br /> also authorize new construction. <br /> City Attorney Iles suggested that the verbiage'Additions and Alterations' <br /> then be stricken from the ordinance title. <br /> Additional discussion ensued regarding the cost of new construction <br /> versus the cost of alterations and the need for more information. <br /> Moved by Council Member Stonecipher,seconded by Council <br /> Member Nielsen to table this item until more information can be <br /> provided. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Moore,Gipson,Hatloe,and Roberts. <br /> Motion failed. <br /> f <br /> 122 <br />
