June 16,201G <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> p.m.,June 18,2010 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Roberts presiding. Upon roll cell it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson,Council Members Roberts,Moore,Hetloe,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> and Stonecipher were present Council Member Affholter was excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 9,2010 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson expressed his appreciation to staff for a great <br /> Sorticukure event despite the weather. <br /> STORM UPDATE <br /> Dave Davis,Public Works,gave an update on the weather-related <br /> problems from last Wednesday's stone event He discussed the steps <br /> the city has taken,and continues to take,to assist homeowners who <br /> experienced sewer backups. <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that he has asked Dave and his staff to <br /> determine,with coped help,if we have capacity issues now or capacity <br /> issues we should be planning for and investing in,to minimize or avoid <br /> these kinds of occurrences in the future. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Stonecipher stated that she will be absent next week due <br /> toe family vacation and will return the following week. <br /> Council Member Moore commented on his attendance at the successful <br /> Sontculture event. <br /> 168 <br />
