September 29,2010 <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—HEWITT AVENUE DISTRICT <br /> President Roberts opened a public hearing regarding the recommendation <br /> that the Hewitt Avenue District be listed on the National Register of <br /> Historic Places. <br /> Dave Koenig,Planning,gave a short cede presentation showing the <br /> boundaries of the recommended historic district and briefly discussed the <br /> effects of having the district designation. <br /> Jack O'Donnell,Everett,spoke in support of this action. <br /> Dave Ramstad,Everett,stated that he isrently chair of Everett's <br /> Historical Commission and that the Commission voted unanimously in <br /> favor of the historical district. <br /> Victor Harris,Everett,commented on his reservations of this action. <br /> Moved by Council Member Stonecipher,seconded by Council <br /> Member Moore to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was celled with all council members young yes except Council <br /> Member Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to authorize the Mayor to recommend the Hewitt Avenue <br /> District be listed on the National Register of Historic Places <br /> Roll was celled with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Gipson who was exwsed. <br /> Mellon carried. <br /> 276 <br />
