March 2,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,March 2,2011 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Affholter presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Council <br /> Members Roberts,Moore,Gipson,Nielsen.Stonecipher,and Affholter <br /> were present Mayor Stephenson and Council Member Hatloe were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 23,2011 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote, <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Nielsen stated that he has questions regarding council <br /> briefing agenda item no.2,which was to be pulled,and asked that it be <br /> left on the agenda to give him an opportunity to ask Rose questions. <br /> Council Member Gipson reported on his attendance ata walk in support <br /> of the Everett Gospel Mission. He stated that approximately 500 <br /> individuals participated. <br /> Council Member Roberts expressed his appreciation to our congressional <br /> delegation,the Boeing Company,and all those involved in the successful <br /> competition for the tanker contract. <br /> He stated that the Bicycle Plan has come out of the Planning Commission <br /> and goes to the Transportation Advisory Committee this month for review. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> No one wished to comment <br /> 54 <br />
