April20,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was celled to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,April20,2011 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Council Member Nielsen presiding.Upon roll call it wes found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Moore,Hatice,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,and Stonecipher were present. Council Member Afiholter was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 13,2011 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed.Council Member Hatloe abstained from the vote. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson questioned whether the 196 Arts Fund could be <br /> used to help fund the Sky Valley Motorcycle Show and other similar <br /> events. CAA Bryant responded that the fund is strictly for the arts and <br /> would not be appropriate for that type of expense. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comment. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Jackie Minchew,Everett,spoke in support of the proposed Bike Plan. <br /> Chuck Nelson,TrinityLutheran College,invited everyone to attend a <br /> rooftop garden party on May 3,2011,5 p.m.to 7 p.m. <br /> Mayor Jon Nehring,Marysville,end Mel Sheldon,Chairman of the Tulalip <br /> Tribes,read a letter into the record regarding environmental concerns <br /> related to Cedar Grove Composting. <br /> Mike Davis,Marysville,founder of Citizens fora Smell Free Snohomish <br /> County,expressed his concern regarding the odor they beacon is coming <br /> 105 <br />
