May 18,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,May 18,2011 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Council President Affhoker presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson, Council Members Roberts, Moore, Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Affhoker were present. Council Members Hatice and <br /> Gipson were excused. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 11,2011 Everett City Council Meeting were <br /> approved as printed,with Council Member Moore abstaining from the <br /> vote. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Council Member Roberts commented that he enjoyed being present in <br /> Olympia with the Mayor at the signing of SB 5636,the WSU bill,into law <br /> last week,end he congratulated the team that brought the legislation to <br /> fruklon. He also remarked that this Friday is"Bike to Work Day"and <br /> encouraged the community to take part in the event. <br /> MAYOR <br /> YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Kate Reardon,Mayor's Staff,presented the 2011 <br /> Mayor's Youth Achievement Awards.This years recipients are Amanda <br />• Cline,Annie Manhardt,Darby Coleman,Andrea Frye,Antonio Prukt, <br /> Brendan Celo,Danielle Marteir,Jane.Braxton,Allison Weir,KeiVaree <br /> Russell,Linzy Callison-Ris,Rachel Carey,Samantha Loch,Sophi <br /> Tomaszewski and Tessa Pimento!. <br /> The Council Members offered the award winners their congratulations, <br /> and a17:10 p.m.the meeting recessed and reconvened at 7:17 p.m.after <br /> the recipients ano their families had the opportunity to depart Council <br /> Chambers. <br /> 138 <br />
