June 29,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,June 29,2011 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Council Member Gipson presiding.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts.Moore,Gipson,Nielsen,and <br /> Stonecipher were present. Coundl Members Hatloe and Affholter were <br /> excused. <br /> Mayor Stephenson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 22,2011 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Roberts abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson announced that Earl Dutton,a well-known figure in our <br /> community,passed away last weekend.His service will be held on July 5, <br /> 2011 at 2:00 p.m.at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Nielsen reported on his attendance at the Jetty Jam en <br /> Saturday. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he attended the AWC Conference <br /> last week.He reported that one of the meetings was with the Department <br /> of Revenue Director regarding business and occupation tax issues. <br /> Council Member Gipson questioned whether there wasupdate <br /> regarding signage for the businesses on Broadway.MayoStephanson <br /> stated that there are now signs on Broadway that say"businesses open." <br /> Dave Davis,Public Works,stated that it is a requirement of all of the city's <br /> contracts that''bhe contractor have a person who is assigned to assisting <br /> businesses with their access in and out <br /> 190 '' <br />
