1.1 <br /> July 27,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett CRy Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m.,July 27,2011 In the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall,Council Member Roberts presiding.Upon roll cell it was found <br /> that Mayor Stephenson,Council Members Roberts,Hake,Gipson,and <br /> Stonecipher were present. Council Members Moore,Nielsen end <br /> Aflholter were excused. <br /> Council Member Hefioe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the duly 20,2011 city council meeting will be approved <br /> next week. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Jim Iles requested an executive session at the conclusion of <br /> today's meeting anticipated to last fifteen minutes regarding a litigation <br /> matter pursuant to RCW 02.30.110(1110 with no announcement following. ,. <br /> CITILEN COMMENTS <br /> Dr.Kishore Shetty thanked the city council for supporting fluoridation of <br /> our community water supply.He addressed the benefits of fluoridation. <br /> Golda Starr voiced that fluoridafion is chronicaly toxic and spoke in <br /> opposition. <br /> James Robed Deal spoke in opposition to fluoridating water and'handed <br /> out documents from Olemara Peters,Dr.Michael Breneman,and Tare <br /> Blank also voicing opposition. <br /> Dr.Gary Goldbaum,Director of the Snohomish Health District,spoke <br /> regarding the effectiveness of fluoride and urged the city council's <br /> continued support of fluoridation. <br /> Council Member Roberts commented that the city water system is <br /> regulated by the Health Department as well as the Department of <br /> 212 <br />
