September 7,2011 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,September 7,2011 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,Council Member Afiholter presiding.Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson,Council Members Roberts,Moore,Gipson,Nielsen. <br /> Stonecipher and Affholter were present Council Member Hatice was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 31,2011 city council meeting were approved <br /> as panted. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson had no comments. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />• The council members had no comments. <br />• <br />• <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The city attorney had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> James Deal,Lynnwood,provided information from various sources <br /> indicating that fluoride in the drinking water supply is harmful,and <br /> supplied a handout with additional information. • <br /> Council Member Moore indicated his appreciation for the information and <br /> stated that there is a wide spectmm of knowledge regarding water <br /> fluoridation which does not agree with Mr.Deal's assertions and which <br /> alleviates concern about fluoridation.Council Member Moore stated that <br /> he supports fluoridation of water in Everett. <br /> 249 <br />
