-g, <br /> • <br /> • September 21,2011 <br /> AGREEMENT—BROADWAY BRIDGE REPLACEMENT DESIGN <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br />• Stonecipher,to authorize the Mayor to sign supplemental Agreement <br /> No.1 to the local agency standard consultant agreement with Tran <br /> Tech Engineering,LLC,for the Broadway Bridge Replacement <br /> project design services. <br /> { Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Hatloe and Gipson who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Goya Starr,Sultan,spoke in opposition to Everett's fluoridation of <br /> drinking water. <br /> Dr.David John,Mercer Island.urged skepticism of dishonest information <br /> provided by water fluoridation proponents. <br /> James Deal.Lynnwood,offered updates to information regarding other <br /> jurisdictions'water fluoridation status. <br /> Council Member Nielsen commented that,as Mr.Deal had requested in a <br /> meeting with Council President Affhatter and himself,he had researched <br /> the National Kidney Foundation's position on fluoridation. Council <br /> Member Nielsen stated that his research indicated that the Foundation <br /> has not withdrawn its endorsement of fluoridation,but rather Rae not <br /> taken a position on fluoridation,finding it to be a secondary concern.He <br /> further remarked that the misstatements presented to Council by <br /> fluoddation opponents call their credibility into question. <br /> 265 <br />
