October 15,2011 <br /> Annie Lyman,Everett Fred Guilfoyle,Everett and Shirley Guilfoyle, <br /> Everett expressed opposition to the Planning Directors decision in <br /> opposition to the Historical Commission's recommendation regarding the <br /> removal carte house stricture at 1102 Grand Avenue. <br /> Debra Bryant responded that the Planning Directors decision S being <br /> appealed to the Hearing Examiner. <br /> Council Member Roberts remarked that it is his understanding that the <br /> Historical Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the Planning <br /> Director. <br /> City Attorney lies confirmed Council Member Roberts'understanding. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher commented that it is unfortunate that the <br /> Planning Director is not accountable to the voters,and asked that the <br /> decision-making process be addressed more fully. <br /> Council Member Nielsen stated that the process is that the Hearing <br /> Examiners decision can be appealed in Superior Court.
