C . C . 13.10.010). <br />THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />SECTION 1: Every application for the vacation of <br />any street or alley, or any part thereof, shall be <br />accompanied by a payment to the City of a fee of <br />One Hundred -Fifty Dollars ($150.00) to defray the <br />o f processing such vacation petitions and such fee <br />n ot be refunded. <br />costs <br />shall <br />SECTION 2: At the time the City Council, or a <br />committee thereof, recommends granting a vacation peti- <br />t ion, an additional fee of One Hundred -Fifty Dollars <br />($150.00) shall be paid to cover appraisal costs for a <br />street or alley abutting pro <br />perty which is zoned single- <br />family residential, provided, however, the fee shall be <br />Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to cover the appraisal <br />costs for a street or alley abutting on property zones <br />for non-residential uses and multiple --residence, or <br />h igh-density. In the event the appraisal cost is less <br />t han the payment therefore, the vacation compensation <br />payable to the City shall be reduced by the difference <br />between the fee and the actual cost, providing, however, <br />if the appraisal cost is more thanthe payment therefore, <br />such difference shall be due the City. The petitioner(s) <br />may request the appraisal prior to the City Council's <br />recommendation to grant or reject the petition at the <br />hearing, subject to receipt of the fee. If at any time <br />subsequent to the ordering of the appraisal, the vacation <br />proceedings are terminated, the fee will be refunded in <br />t he amount above the actual cost of the appraisal. <br />
