C . 13.10.010). THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1: Every application for the vacation of any street or alley, or any part thereof, shall be accompanied by a payment to the City of a fee of One Hundred -Fifty Dollars ($150.00) to defray the o f processing such vacation petitions and such fee n ot be refunded. costs shall SECTION 2: At the time the City Council, or a committee thereof, recommends granting a vacation peti- t ion, an additional fee of One Hundred -Fifty Dollars ($150.00) shall be paid to cover appraisal costs for a street or alley abutting pro perty which is zoned single- family residential, provided, however, the fee shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) to cover the appraisal costs for a street or alley abutting on property zones for non-residential uses and multiple --residence, or h igh-density. In the event the appraisal cost is less t han the payment therefore, the vacation compensation payable to the City shall be reduced by the difference between the fee and the actual cost, providing, however, if the appraisal cost is more thanthe payment therefore, such difference shall be due the City. The petitioner(s) may request the appraisal prior to the City Council's recommendation to grant or reject the petition at the hearing, subject to receipt of the fee. If at any time subsequent to the ordering of the appraisal, the vacation proceedings are terminated, the fee will be refunded in t he amount above the actual cost of the appraisal.
