RESOLUTION NO. 6431 <br /> A RESOLUTION declaring the City's intent to accept a <br /> gift from the Walmart Corporation in the amount of$6,000 for Code 10 and youth <br /> scholarships, and a gift from NW Fishing Guides of Everett in the amount of$500 for <br /> Code 10, to the Everett Parks & Recreation Department. <br /> WHEREAS, the WalMart Corporation and NW Fishing Guides of Everett have made <br /> gifts to the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the total amount of the gifts is $6,500; and <br /> WHEREAS, the $6,500 in gifts has been received by the City via separate checks in the <br /> sum of$6,500; and <br /> WHEREAS, EMC 2.105.020 grants the Mayor authority to conditionally accept gifts of <br /> personal property and the Mayor does recommend acceptance of this gift of personal <br /> property from the WalMart Corporation and NW Fishing Guides of Everett. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT that the City of Everett accepts the gift of $6,000 from the <br /> WalMart Corporation for Code 10 and youth scholarships, and $500 from NW Fishing <br /> Guides of Everett for the Code 10 program for use by the Everett Parks & Recreation <br /> Department.
