600 Ninth Ave Apts 11 COAST
FIRE EMERGENCY GUIDE
Apartment Community: 600 Ninth Ave Apts
Apartment Address: 600 9th Ave.#1 -401.Seattle,WA 98104
Resident Name(s):City of Everett
Fire Escape Plan
IF THE SMOKE ALARM SOUNDS...
Plan fire escape routes in advance and know at least two ways out of each room - especially bedrooms. Specify a safe
meeting place outside your home so that you'll know whether everyone is out. Practice your escape plan at least twice a year
and practice these two survival techniques:
CRAWL LOW UNDER SMOKE. If you must escape through smoke, get down on your hands and knees and crawl under the
smoke to the nearest safe exit. Smoke and poisonous gases rise, so cleaner air is near the floor.
STOP, DROP AND ROLL. If your clothes catch fire, don't run. Stop where you are, drop to the ground covering your face with
your hands, and roll over and over to smother the flames.
Once you safely exit your apartment go to the nearest pull station and activate the alarm, notifying other residents. Go to a
neighbors apartment(not in the same building)and call 911.You must move at least 100 feet away from the building, DO NOT
enter your apartment once you are out.
For any small fires there is a fire extinguisher located in your building hallway.
DO NOT disconnect your smoke alarm or red alarm. Forgetting to reconnect your smoke alarm could result in a death.
Disconnecting the red alarm in your unit will result in a$300.00 fine and/or manslaughter charges if a resident in your building
does not survive the fire. These red boxes are to notify you and your neighbors of a fire in your building and the need to
evacuate.
8 7 08/03/2020
City of Everett(Re ) M ` Date Myrya G oe caner/ ent) Odle
•
orrice of the City Attorney
APPROVED AS TO FORM
David C,Heti,City Attorney
Dep City Clerk
Ct 25
i
