19.12.120 Weather Protection. <br /> A. General Requirements. <br /> Weather protection,such as an awning,shall be required on any building facade fronting a public street as set <br /> forth in Table 12-4. <br /> Figure 12-5:Weather Protection Standards <br /> • <br /> rrt L■UW MAU t <br /> B. Design Requirements. <br /> 1. Weather protection shall be supported by the building if projected over public sidewalks. <br /> 2. All frames and supports must be made of metal or similar rigid material. Frames and supports made of <br /> wood are allowed within the UR3 and UR4 zones.Other materials are prohibited unless approved by the <br /> planning director. <br /> 3. The entire width of the main entrance to a building shall incorporate weather protection. <br /> C. Recessed entries with weather protection may count towards meeting the standards in Table 12-4 above. <br /> 19.12.130 Building Transparency. <br /> Transparent windows or doors,on the ground floor and facing the street,are required as set forth in Table 12-4 <br /> below, provided, however,that these standards do not apply to structured parking.Transparency measurements <br /> are done on the ground floor of the street facade,between 2 and 10 feet above grade.See Figure 12-6 for how this <br /> is measured. <br /> Ch.19.12 Building Form and Design 8 City Council Action(11/04/2020) <br />
