For buildings within Metro Everett that are constructed to the edge of a public sidewalk, <br /> the entry shall be recessed in accordance with the requirements of this section. <br /> C. Plazas and Forecourts.The standards in this subsection apply only to the MU zone within Metro Everett. <br /> Description:A forecourt or plaza is where all, or a portion of the front façade of a building,is set back ten(10) <br /> feet or more from the front setback line,creating a space without buildings of at least 144 square feet along <br /> the lot frontage. For the purpose of these design standards,plaza and forecourts are further defined below. <br /> 1. Plaza. A plaza is a public space that is designed for intensive public use.A plaza is more than 900 square <br /> feet in area. <br /> 2. Forecourt.A forecourt is a small court space which could be used as an entry court or shared garden <br /> space for apartment buildings,or as an additional shopping or restaurant seating area within commercial <br /> zones.A forecourt is less than 900 square feet in area but more than 144 square feet. <br /> 3.
