The funding for each testing <br />assignment (task order) is the responsibility of the assigning department and the cost <br />will be a part of each capital project requiring testing services. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Since 2017, the Public Works Department has maintained a list of pre -qualified materials <br />testing firms for on -call materials testing services for City of Everett construction <br />projects. Prior to that, individual departments and project managers had to contract for <br />testing services on a single project basis, which was time consuming and costs could vary <br />significantly throughout the construction season. <br />The pre -qualified materials testing firms selected from the Municipal Research and <br />Services Center (MRSC) roster are as follows: GeoTest Services, Inc., Krazan & <br />Associates, Inc. and Materials Testing & Consulting, Inc. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreements with GeoTest <br />Services, Inc., Krazan & Associates, Inc. and Materials Testing & Consulting, Inc for <br />2021/2022 On -Call Materials Testing services. <br />
