CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON SPECIFICATIONS FOR JACKSON PARK AREA STORMWATER SEPARATION WO No. UP3703 NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the JACKSON PARK AREA STORMWATER SEPARATION will be received at the Purchasing Counter, 3200 Cedar Street, Door#5, Everett, WA, 98201, until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. The Purchasing Counter is open Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 3:00pm. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and read aloud publicly via webcast only. The engineer's estimate for this Project is $1,540,000. Work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for construction of a new pipe conveyance system to separate, and collect stormwater from existing combined sewer system; and street/sidewalk restoration. Project involves construction of approximately 2,200 linear feet of 12-inch to 24-inch diameter storm drainage pipe, water quality treatment units and other such appurtenances, restoration and performing all Work as required by the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Plans and Contract Provisions. The Project is in northeast Everett, Washington, generally in the vicinity of East Marine View Drive, 19th Street, Summit Ave and is adjacent to Henry M. Jackson Park. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. All bids must be made upon the regular forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening.
