He also stated that the possibility of The Boeing Company <br /> move is a call for action and an economic opportunity. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher inquired as to why Wetmore Plaza Park was <br /> sectioned off with caution tape and asked if there was another deterrent other <br /> than caution tape, which appears ominous. <br /> Mayor Franklin stated it was closed due to vandalization. She stated she will have <br /> staff see if a better solution can be established. <br /> Council Member Bader provided a liaison report from the Animal Shelter Advisory <br /> Board meeting. <br /> Council Member Murphy requested a timeline for the removal of the Healthy <br /> 4111 <br /> Streets program blockades as he has received concerns from citizens. He also <br /> asked about the success of this pilot project. <br /> Ryan Sass, Public Works, stated they intend to remove the Healthy Streets <br /> blockades within the next week or so as fall weather changes. He stated that <br /> feedback has been mixed, with overall mostly positive reviews. <br /> Council Member Roberts underscored the importance of expanding the economic <br /> base in Everett. <br /> President Tuohy stated the Districting Commission public meeting was <br /> rescheduled for Thursday, October 1.
