September 16, 2020 <br /> Thank you. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked the Mayor for the budget message. He also <br /> reported on his attendance at the Delta Neighborhood meeting yesterday. Council <br /> Member Roberts spoke about air quality in our region, and climate change. <br /> Council Member Vogeli encouraged residents to stay safe considering current air <br /> quality. <br /> Council Member Moore thanked the Mayor for transparency and integration with <br /> the Council on the budget process. He also thanked his colleagues and citizens and <br /> encouraged citizens to get engaged. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher provided a report from her attendance at the Library <br /> Board meeting last night. <br /> Council Member Bader provided a liaison report from the Alliance for Housing <br /> Affordability. He encouraged Council not to pass the proposed resolution that <br /> would provide an ability to the city to impose an additional 0.1% sales tax to <br /> provide for housing affordability. <br /> Council Member Murphy thanked the Mayor for the budget address. He also <br /> thanked Council Member Roberts for his comments. Council Member Murphy <br /> asked for an update regarding homelessness and a day shelter opened by <br /> Snohomish County. <br /> Deputy Mayor Nick Harper provided an update on a shelter at the Carnegie <br /> building. He also spoke about ongoing communication with the Snohomish County <br /> and a strategy regarding homelessness. <br /> President Tuohy stated that the District Commission is hosting its final public <br /> outreach and invited public to participate, additional information on the meeting <br /> and contact information can be found on the City website at <br /> everettwa.gov/districting. <br />
