EXCLUSIONS <br /> The following items are excluded from the scope of work: <br /> 1. Soils investigation/testing and related specifications, <br /> 2. Special billing requirements required by Client outsideof Mackenzie's standard billing procedures. <br /> 3. Building permitfees,design reviewfees,or any otherfees paid to public bodies having jurisdiction <br /> overthe project. <br /> 4. Appeals,variances,public hearings, and use approvals,conditional use reviews,or any required <br /> adjustments otherthan as specifically outlined within our scope of services above. <br /> 5. Meetings with public agencies or other meetings otherthan those specifically identified in Scope <br /> of Services above. <br /> 6. Hazardous materials mitigation design. <br /> 7. Special foundation systems. <br /> 8. Square footage calculations beyond those required to confirm compliance with building and <br /> zoning code requirements.(Calculation of gross,net,and rentable squarefootages,such as BOMA <br /> calculations,are not included.) <br /> 9. Floor vibration analysis and design forfootfall impact. <br /> 10. Vibration analysis and design.(Equipment and/orsources otherthan footfall impact.) <br /> 11. Equipment support or racking systems. <br /> 12. Coordination of Client provided consultants not identified at the date of this proposal. <br /> 13. Presentation-level 3D renderings other than conceptual studies to describe design intent or as <br /> utilized as part of Mackenzie's design process unless specifically noted within our scope of services <br /> above. <br /> 14. No Navisworks files or Clashing will be provided or performed. Deliverables shall be PDF and/or <br /> hardcopy only. (Revit model RVTfiles and DWG exports will not be provided.) Revit models and <br /> sheets will be created to Mackenzie standards. No formal BIM Execution Plan will be provided. <br /> Nothing in the Revit model supersedes the formally issued stamped and signed hard copy <br /> Construction Documents. <br /> 15. Formal Building code interpretation requests and/or appeals, <br /> 16. Accessibility compliance design other than that required by Authority HavingJurisdiction (AHJ)as <br /> required for Building Permit per the 2018 International Building Code(IBC)with Washington State <br /> Amendments and by reference therein ANSI ICC/A117.1for new construction. (Since compliance <br /> with the Americans with Disabilities Act — Accessibility Guidelines(ADAAG) is not required for <br /> Building Permit by AHJ, review, analysis and design for compliance therewith is specifically <br /> excluded from basic services. Client may request for expanded accessibility review and <br /> compliance design to include that of the ADAAG as an Optional Additional Service.However,there <br /> are inherent conflicts and/or discrepancies between the codes required for Building Permit and <br /> the ADAAG and design and compliance with all of them may not be possible). <br /> 17. Sustainability certification services. <br /> 18. Special permits and permits otherthan those identifiedwithin the proposal identified above(e.g., <br /> phased permitting,trade permits,separate demolition permit). <br /> 19.
