I
PROJECT MEMO 0001111
TO: Everett Permit Review Team DATE: December 18,2018
FROM: Meredith Sessions PROJECT NO.: 2170645
Seattle-(206)267-2425 PROJECT NAME: Bethany at Silverlake
SUBJECT: Planting Conflict Avoidance
Per Everett code 19.35.100(B)(11), the following describes strategies followed to avoid proposed planting
conflicts.
Potential conflicts were avoided in the planting plan by setting trees and shrubs back from new curbs at the
ends of stalls where bumpers might overhang vegetation. This zone is planted with Kinnikinnick, a low
groundcover.Vehicle sight distances were maintained by avoiding low-branched trees and shrubs taller than 36"
within sight triangles at corners. No new planting is within twenty feet of the existing light standards, so there are
no conflicts with lighting. Similarly, new planting is far from existing signs and no new signs are proposed. No
other features, such as bus stops or artwork, are in the vicinity of the new planting areas.
MGS/
c: Kristin Glendon/AHBL
John Shoesmith/Shoesmith Cox Architecture
Document3
