Section 2 of Ordinance 2879-05, as amended (codified at EMC 2.74.045), is amended as <br />follows, with strikeout text deleted and underlined text added: <br />Appointive officers who have successfully passed probation shall be allowed, upon voluntary <br />separation, retirement, or in situations of reduction in force from city employment, to receive a <br />payment equal to twenty fifteen percent of the value of their then -existing sick leave accrual <br />balances deposited into a Health Reimbursement Arrangement, Voluntary Employee Benefit <br />Association (HRA/VEBA) account. <br />Section 6. Section 1(E) of Ordinance 1594-89, as amended (codified at EMC 2.74.050), is amended <br />as follows, with strikeout text deleted and underlined text added: <br />The city shall grant appointive officers leave of absence with pay for the following reasons: <br />A. All eligible appointive officers shall accrue sick leave <br />at a rate of two days per month to a total maximum of one hundred twenty work days.
