ORDINANCE NO. <br />Li <br />EVERETT <br />WASHINGTON <br />An Ordinance Creating a special improvement project entitled "Forterra Restoration Plan", Fund 354, <br />Program 068, for the continued implementation of a restoration plan for several publicly owned urban <br />forested areas within the City of Everett. <br />WHEREAS, <br />A. The City desires to preserve publicly owned urban forests in terms of their health, functionality <br />and the public benefits urban forests provide. <br />B. The City values the organization and coordination of forest restoration projects and the volunteer <br />recruitment and management that Forterra provides. <br />C. The City has several departments and committees whose coordinated efforts with Forterra <br />continue to support the long-term sustainability of our urban forests. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1. A special improvement project is hereby established as Fund 354, Program 068, and shall be <br />entitled "Forterra Restoration Plan" to accumulate all costs for the improvement project. <br />Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund 354, <br />Program 068, for the improvement project. <br />Section 3. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Director, under direction of the <br />Mayor, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing all things necessary <br />to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. <br />Section 4. The sum of $58,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 068, "Forterra Restoration <br />Plan" as follows: <br />A. Estimated Project Costs <br />Forestry Services $58,000 <br />Total Estimated Costs S58,000 <br />B. Source of Funds <br />Fund 354 — CIP 3 $58,000 <br />Total Estimated Funds $58,000 <br />
