Findings <br />► Is it important to be fiscally sustainable? Why? <br />► Yes. City government programs, services and infrastructure to a large extent define <br />the quality of life for citizens and determine whether the City will be an attractive <br />location for existing and new businesses to operate. The City's role is to facilitate <br />the planning, services and infrastructure that will ensure this. <br />Is the City fiscally sustainable? <br />No. The structural gap between revenues and costs is real, and worsening. City <br />General Government revenues are projected to grow at 2% per year over the next <br />six years, while growth in the cost of current General Government programs is <br />projected to grow at an annual average of 4.5% per year. <br />► Has the City done a thorough/good job in the last several years to <br />address its financial challenges? <br />• Much has been done to balance budget in last decade but the structural deficit <br />continues and is growing. <br />•I•1 <br />y <br />
