Preceding action: Time of Day Load Profile Agreement Fund: 425 Transportation Services Fiscal summary statement: The project has the potential to reduce the cost of charging electric buses by $400 to $1,000 per month. Project summary statement: On April 8, 2020, the City of Everett entered into the Time of Day Load Profile Participation Agreement with Snohomish County PUD. The utility installed monitoring equipment on the transformer used exclusively to provide power to the Everett Transit's electric bus charging systems. Transit staff and PUD officials reviewed the subsequent monthly reports and identified opportunities to reduce the cost of electricity through demand management. This agreement will allow the PUD to reduce Everett Transit's cost of electricity when Transit charges buses during the hours of least demand. • Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Time of Day Load Profile Data Participation Agreement Amendment.
