City <br />Purchasing Policy requires Council authorization of awards greater than $100,000 <br />annually. This purchase request is for an additional $84,994.90 for the tasers and <br />supporting supplies. <br />Project Summary Statement: <br />Axon Enterprise Inc is a supplier of technology and weapons products for military, law <br />enforcement, and civilians. Axon is an awarded supplier with Washington State <br />Department of Enterprise contract #02315/COE #2019-022. These products are used by <br />the Police department to support daily tasks. Officers are supplied with tasers as part of <br />their duty equipment. This is purchase is necessary to equip officers with required tools. <br />The City has an Interlocal Agreement with Washington State Department of Enterprise <br />Services that allows purchases from its competitively awarded contracts in lieu of <br />soliciting bids on our own. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Award and authorize Taser Purchase from Axon Enterprise Inc. from Washington State <br />Department of Enterprise Services Contract #02315/COE #2019-022 in the amount of <br />$84,994.90 including Washington state sales tax. <br />
