This is a 28% reduction <br />from Everett's previous annual allocation and represents the City of Everett's proportionate cost <br />share to fund the Task Force commander's salary, based on Everett's average 2019 population <br />(see Exhibit D). Everett's contribution is budgeted to come from Criminal Justice Fund 156. <br />Project summary statement: <br />The City of Everett enters an annual Interlocal agreement (ILA) with Snohomish County and other <br />jurisdictions for the operation of the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force (SRDTF). The SRDTF <br />has been in existence since 1988 and the ILA outlines the organizational structure, governance <br />and budgetary elements of the SRDTF and associated requirements of the participating <br />jurisdictions. The City of Everett Police Department assigns personnel to the SRDTF as staffing <br />allows This ILA is for the period of January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021 and may be <br />extended up to three additional one-year terms upon written notice from the Snohomish County <br />Sheriff, with the concurrence of the SRDTF governing board. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Agreement Establishing Snohomish Regional Drug Task <br />Force in the amount of $21,608.00 for 2021, and subsequent extensions allowed per the current <br />agreement. <br />
