RESOLUTION NO. 6 4 3 9 <br /> A Resolution Placing the <br /> C.P. Lee House <br /> 1332 Oakes Avenue <br /> on the <br /> Everett Register of Historic Places <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett adopted Ordinance 1355-87 (amended 1956-93) <br /> authorizing the Everett Historical Commission to consider the merits of properties for <br /> placement on the Everett Register of Historic Places and to recommend to City Council <br /> that properties be placed on the Everett Register; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tracy and Tina Gilson, the owners of the C. P. Lee House at 1332 Rucker <br /> Avenue, requested the Everett Historical Commission to consider the house for inclusion <br /> on the Everett Register of Historic Places; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Historical Commission reviewed the request at a public hearing <br /> and determined that the C. P. Lee House, built in 1922, is at least 50 years old, has <br /> integrity, and meets the following criteria for inclusion on the Everett Register: <br /> • Embodies distinctive architectural characteristics of a type,period and style of <br /> construction; and <br /> • Is associated with the lives of persons significant to local history; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. The Everett City Council concurs with the recommendation of the Everett <br /> Historical Commission to place the C. P. Lee House on the Everett Register of <br /> Historic Places. <br /> 2. The Everett City Council places the C. P. Lee House on the Everett Register of <br /> Historic Places. <br /> Councilmem er ntroducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved by City Council this 9th day of November, 2011 <br /> �i <br /> Council Preside <br />
