IMPACT OF COVID-1 9
The COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly evolving situation and is likely to affect the PROS Plan engagement
efforts through most of 2021. This plan prioritizes online and virtual engagement to comply with
regulations and protect the health and wellbeing of Everett's residents. It is important to supplement
digital promotion and digital engagement opportunities with efforts that exist in the physical world such
as postcards, posters, and print media advertising. Outdoor socially distanced events may be possible in
warmer weather. If the situation improves, we can modify our engagement plan to incorporate more in-
person engagements.
Community Profile and Key Audiences
CURRENT DEMOGRAPHICS
This section provides community demographic information largely from the American Community Survey
or State Office of Financial Management using Excel tools BERK Consulting, Inc. developed for planning
projects in 2019-2020. These data will be updated at the project outset due to evolving availability.
Exhibit 1. In addition the City has housing and job targets.
• The Everett Urban Growth Area has additional population, housing, and job growth targets.
■ Everett will be planning to meet VISION 2050 Regional Growth Strategy and County-City Growth
allocations for 2044.
) DRAFT November 2020 Everett PROS Plan Update Preliminary Outreach and Engagement Plan 3
