Alternatives Alternative trail alignments for the South Everett Forest Preserve were internally evaluated based upon findings of the inventory and analysis, and the program needs for the park. The trail alignments were evaluated based upon the general space requirements and relationships of the proposed park activities, circulation for pedestrian pathways, gradient, vegetation, and neighborhood orientation. The key differences among the alternatives were as follows: • Trail configurations that extend the trail off-site on the adjacent City of Everett property to the north. • Trail configurations that may cause more or less disturbance to the wetland or buffer or significant trees. • Trail configurations that consider other connections.
