4".
South Everett Forest Preserve, Final Master Plan
September, 2015 RECRIKSTON
Emails received and sent during preparation of the South Everett Forest Preserve Trail
Master Plan:
Received: Email#I: Monday, October 20, 2014 9:40 PM
Bob, Wendy& Parks Dept—
Thank you for taking the time to present the Draft of the Master Plan for this site. We would greatly
appreciate being kept in the loop of ongoing developments with this site. Wendy made an excellent
suggestion of being present when the site is surveyed in the upcoming months.
Our Neighborhoods concerns can be summed up in one statement. The goal of the improvements to
this site should provide recreation activities and also help add value to the surrounding neighborhood by
providing increased security& reduced noise in a manner that is conscious of the current environmental
habitat.
Cheers,
Steve &Julie Berry
Sent: Response to Email #1 Friday, October 31, 2014 3:12 PM
Steve and Julie,
Thanks for your comments and interest in the project. We'll be posting information about the project
on the Parks web site located at http://www.ci.everett.wa.us/default.aspx?ID=2227. We're currently
negotiating the contract with an engineering firm to complete the survey and begin work on the Master
Plan. The survey work will probably start in about 3-4 weeks depending on when the City Council
approves the contract.
Your concerns about safety, noise and environmental issues are all understandable given the location
and history of the property. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or suggestions.
Thanks,
Bob Hillmann, LG, LHG
Project Coordinator
City of Everett
Appendix A—Page 2
