Interwest Construction Inc. 1/8/2021 Change Order 24

Project: Grand Avenue Park Bridge Change Order No.: 24 Change Order Effective Date: 11-13-2020 The four(4)bid items above are being deleted because the City of Everett Parks Department did not wish to use any of the bulb plantings since they were to be planted in the fall,well past when all other landscaping work had been completed. The Parks Department stated that all planting areas were very full and may opt not to plant them at all. New Item #A-340—Eliminate Plant Selection Including Plant Establishment(PSIPE). The contractor's landscape subcontractor, Out West Landscape and Irrigation Inc. asked to be relieved from their PSIPE and warranty requirement on this project and offered a 30%credit to the City of Everett on the PSIPE bid items. Out West is an approved Condition of Award(COA) DBE subcontractor, and this credit will not prevent the contractor from meeting COA DBE requirements on this project. Agreeing to this change will enable the City of Everett to close out the project sooner, as the Parks Department will take over for the landscape subcontractor's plant maintenance. Condition of Award (COA) DBE Subcontractor Change Out West Landscape and Irrigation is a COA DBE subcontractor with an original commitment of $236,136.00. The commitment will be reduced by $10,778.10 $225,357.90. With added markup to the prime contractor the total PSIPE reduction is $14,650.20 however, Out West will still surpass their original commitment due to yet to be paid costs for landscaping work. Interwest Construction, Inc. will increase the commitment from another DBE subcontractor. See attached change for Electric West at$10,778.10. These additions with prime contractor markup total $14,650.20 and reflect actual Contract prices,therefore,the COA commitment will remain unchanged at$2,255,219.00.
