According to the 2018 IBC, every structure and portion thereof, including <br /> • non-structural components that are permanently attached to structures and their supports and <br /> • attachments, shall be designed and constructed to resist the effects of earthquake motions in <br /> accordance with ASCE 7-16. The seismic design category for a structure may be determined in <br /> • accordance with Section 1613 of the 2018 IBC. Based on the field explorations, we classify the <br /> • site as Site Class D, Stiff Soil. Approximate coordinates for the site are noted below. <br /> • <br /> • • Latitude: 47.939319° N <br /> • • Longitude: -122.245024° W <br /> • <br /> The Risk-Targeted Maximum Considered Earthquake (MCER) mapped spectral accelerations <br /> • <br /> for 0.2 seconds and 1 second periods (SS and Si) were estimated using Section 1613.2 of the <br /> • <br /> 2018 IBC and the OSHPD seismic design maps web-based application (available at <br /> • https://seismicmaps.org/).
