The location of the project site is presented on Figure 1, Exploration Location Plan
• and Site Vicinity Map. The purpose of our study is to evaluate surface conditions at the project
• site to provide design and construction recommendations for the proposed improvements. The
• scope of our services was presented in our proposal titled "Proposal for Geotechnical Services,
Proposed AMZL DWS5 Warehouse Improvements, 6617 Associated Blvd in Everett,
• Washington" dated February 21, 2020.
•
• Our report includes a description of the work performed, a discussion of the subsurface and
• surficial conditions observed at the site, and recommendations developed from our engineering
• analyses of field and laboratory data.
•
• 1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
•
• We understand that the existing warehouse facility located at 6617 Associated Blvd in Everett,
• Washington will be improved/retrofitted for a new distribution center. We understand that
• significant structural improvements to the existing warehouse building are not currently planned.
• However, new building openings and exterior canopies may be constructed. Exterior
• improvements around the existing warehouse will be limited primarily to asphalt pavement
• reconstruction. The proposed improvements are superimposed on Figure 2, PASER Map.
•
• 1.2 SCOPE OF SERVICES
•
• The scope of our geotechnical study consisted of a literature review, subsurface explorations,
• Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating (PASER) condition assessment, floor flatness and
• floor levelness testing, laboratory testing, engineering evaluation and analysis, and preparation
• of this report. Studies to assess environmental hazards that may affect the soil and groundwater
• at the site were beyond our geotechnical scope of work. A description of our scope of services
r performed for the geotechnical portion of the project follows.
•
•
•
• 20203884.001A/SEA20R110164 Page 1 of 28 July 1, 2020
•
©2020 Kleinfelder
•
