After visual classification, specific soil samples were selected for index testing to
• further classify the soils and to assign engineering parameters for analysis/design. Laboratory
tests performed on select samples include Moisture Content (ASTM D2216), Particle-Size
• Distribution (ASTM D6913), Modified Proctor (ASTM D1557), and California Bearing Ratio
• (ASTM D1883).
•
• Laboratory test results presented on the exploration logs include moisture content, percent
• passing the no. 4 sieve, and percent passing the no. 200 sieve values. A comprehensive lab
summary table showing all laboratory test results is presented in Appendix B. The Unified Soil
• Classification System (USCS) Key, Soil Description Key, and the test pit logs are presented in
• Appendix A.
•
• 1.2.4 Task 4— Floor Flatness/ Floor Levelness Testing
•
• Floor Flatness (FF) and Floor Levelness (FL) testing was performed on 12 March and 17 March
• 2020 to evaluate the characteristic Face Floor Profile numbers for the warehouse Slab-on-
• Grade floor. Testing was performed in accordance with ASTM E1155 by AAR Testing (working
under subcontract to Kleinfelder). Floor Flatness testing is discussed in Section 4 and reports
are presented in Appendix D.
•
1.2.5 Task 5—Visual Pavement Condition Assessment
•
• Kleinfelder performed a Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating (PASER) study on 17 March
• 2020 to assess the existing paved surface conditions at the site. A visual inspection of surface
• defects, surface deformation, cracks, patches and potholes was performed and a representative
PASER rating was assigned to evaluate the general condition of various pavement sections.
•
• 20203884.001A/SEA20R110164 Page 3 of 28 June 1, 2020
•
©2020 Kleinfelder
•
