1
IRefer to Appendix A of the Stormwater Site Plan (SSP)for detailed drawings of the storm
drainage structures.
I
The on-site storm system requires regular maintenance. The conveyance system must
I be inspected after large storm events. Leaves and debris shall be swept clean of the
catch basin grates. Sumps of the catch basins must also be cleaned periodically. YMCA
of Snohomish County will be the entity responsible for the maintenance of the onsite
storm system. The address and contact information for YMCA of Snohomish County is:
YMCA of Snohomish County
2720 Rockefeller Avenue
11) Everett, WA 98201
425.258.9211
I
The maintenance standards are used as inspection forms for the system and its
p Y
associated components. Record the date each time an inspection is completed and note
I any problems and actions taken, records of inspection and maintenance must be kept
for five (5)years. A sample maintenance log is provided at the end of this document.
Keep completed forms with the Operations and Maintenance Manual at the office at all
times.YMCA of Snohomish County shall keep the Operations and Maintenance Manual
available for maintenance personnel. County staff may request to review the
II maintenance forms as a part of their inspection process. Some components or facilities
do not need to be looked at every time an inspection is conducted. Use the suggested
frequency at the left of each item as a guideline for activities to be completed with each
1 inspection.
A brief description of each stormwater facility and its function is provided below:
• The bioretention cells are shown in Appendix A of the SSP. The cells are designed
to collect stormwater from the pollution generating impervious surfaces and
I treat by filtering the water through its soil media.
• A catch basin's function is to collect, convey, and temporarily store stormwater
sheet flow or stormwater conveyance. The catch basin is a concrete or plastic
ii box or cylinder that will have a grate to allow stormwater to flow into the drain.
• Conveyance pipes are located underground and are connected to catch basins.
Conveyance pipes use gravity to convey stormwater downstream.
• The underground infiltration facilities are designed to collect and infiltrate 100%
of the runoff in the continuous model by storing it in chambers and porous rock
it until it infiltrates into the natural soil.
• The treatment facilities are designed to collect stormwater from pollution
generating impervious surfaces and treat by filtering the water through
cartridges with filter media.
I
1 BCRADESIGN.COM 2
